Pitch-Rings for all of your heads

Each Pitch-Ring delivers equally distributed pressure and tension to your drum head.

Each Pitch-Ring includes: Custom Formed & Cut-To-Length, Pressure-Rated Air Tube, Special Fitting to Air Supply Tube, 2” long Air Supply Tube, 3-Way Quick-Connect Fitting, (1) Fitting Plug to be removed for Air Supply Tube connection to other Pitch-Rings.

Installing a Pitch-Ring is Easy:

1. Select your desired Pitch-Ring connection location near an existing lug while noting the direction you want the supply line to run towards the Pitch-Dial. Loosen all rim lugs as far as possible without removing them and insert the Pitch-Ring, inside the lug, between the rim and hoop, while leaving just the connection sticking out at the location and direction of your choice.
   

   
2. Lay the Pitch-Ring on your drum head near the drum rim with the lugs still loose, use your fingers to push the Pitch-Ring into the cavity between drum rim and head hoop. Wiggle the loose assembly while pushing the Pitch-Ring inward to settle it into place.
   

   
3. With the Pitch-Ring in place between drum rim and head hoop, finger-tighten all the lugs by hand only while pressing down on the rim until head is flat and wrinkle-free. Once the Pitch-Ring is installed, it stays in place until you need to change heads.

4. Connect the Pitch-Ring to the supply tube by fully pressing the supply tube deep into the quick-connect tee fitting. Remove the plug to open one end of the tee fitting to connect to another Pitch-Ring (usually the bottom reson head).

   Please note: Drumtone does not recommend using a Pitch-Ring on the reson head of your snare as it will likely interfere with the relationship between your reson head and your snare wires. We recommend setting your snare reson head to an “A” note as this will match best with the various notes produced by your snare batter head having a Pitch-Ring.

   

   
5. Connect the drum Pitch-Ring(s) to the Pitch-Dial supply tube by pressing air supply tube all the way into an open quick connect tee fitting. To remove air the supply tube (or remove the tee fitting plug) press the end of the quick connect release ring fitting inward with your fingers, before pulling air supply tube out of quick connect fitting. Connect or disconnect any drum by the quick connect fitting for that drum.
